Emerging Technologies in Fuel Management Industry Briefing Wraps Up in Sydney

Our sixth annual Fuel Management industry day in Sydney was a great success! The briefing was well received by all delegates and gave valuable insights into the emerging technologies in fuel management.

Held at the Pullman Quay Grand Darling Harbour, the briefing featured important technical and market information, while providing a great networking platform to share knowledge with leading experts in the fuel and marine sectors.

Our overseas speaker from Innospec – Simon Mulqueen, Director of Technical Services, EMEA and ASPAC, shared how changes in emissions legislation increasing interest in gasoline vehicle technology, global passenger vehicle market trends and Innospec’s new additive technology for GDI engines.

Dr Jim Trench, Manager, Technical Marketing, BHP presented an interesting case study on premium fuel and the positive impact it has had on health and environment. 

Annalisse Sly (Policy and Regulatory Advisor, Environment Standards of Australian Maritime Safety Authority) gave an overview of Australian perspective on IMO 2020 focusing on the legislative changes, compliance testing, reporting , quality and communication aspects.

Further presentations from Michael Lawrence (A S Harrison & Co-General Manager), Kris Lawry (A S Harrison & Co Market Manager), Ing Soon Tan (Innospec Regional Sales Director Asia Pacific), Jim Payne (Manager, Environment and Technical Services, ABMARC), and Shawn Lim (Innospec’s Marine Technical Sales Manager) were well received.

The Q&A panel discussions provided the attendees with useful insights on many burning questions. Post-briefing, attendees had the opportunity to attend a relaxed networking session followed by dinner.
