Lithium hydroxide (LiOH) is a white crystalline material, commonly available as Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate (LiOH·H2O). Lithium is commonly produced from brine pools which contain high concentrations of Lithium salts, or via extraction from Lithium containing minerals such as with Spodumene and Petalite.

Lithium Hydroxide is a key raw material for the manufacture of Lithium and Lithium-Complex soaps for use in Lithium based greases. Due to the hazardous nature of the material a small percentage of oil can be added to the powder in order to suppress the dust.
